Every child’s learning journey is unique, and progress looks different for every student. After assessing your child’s specific needs, we create a personalized 60-day plan tailored to their individual goals.
While tutoring provides the instruction, strategies, and support your child needs, consistent daily practice is one of the most important factors in their success. The skills we build during tutoring become stronger through regular practice and reinforcement at home.
At the end of the 60 days, we’ll review your child’s progress with you—celebrating their growth, identifying areas that may need continued attention, and discussing the strategies that have been most effective. From there, we’ll provide professional recommendations for the next steps in your child’s reading journey.
Great instruction builds the skills. Consistent practice turns those skills into lasting progress.
To support consistent progress and give students the repetition they need to build lasting reading skills, our tutoring program includes two one-hour sessions each week. This consistent schedule allows us to provide focused instruction, reinforce new skills, monitor progress, and build confidence over time.
Combined with regular practice at home, twice-weekly tutoring helps students strengthen their skills and make meaningful progress toward their reading goals.
Yes. For kindergarten through 2nd grade, homework will take no more than 10 minutes per day, and for 3rd through 5th grade, no more than 20 minutes per day. Whenever possible, we align our assignments with the homework your child already receives from school. For example, if a teacher assigns nightly reading, we will build on that task to reinforce skills while keeping the workload manageable.
We do not assign homework simply for the sake of keeping students busy. Instead, it is a purposeful extension of the skills and strategies they practice with us. Homework encourages students to take ownership of their learning and fosters self-discipline—key steps toward developing the ultimate goal: intrinsic motivation.
Intrinsic motivation is the internal drive to learn, grow, and achieve not because of external rewards, but because it makes students feel good about themselves and their abilities.
